Project Reveal: Volley Lane

Welcome to Volley Lane, our newly completed interior remodel local to Atlanta! By embracing the client’s wants, needs, and personality, this family home is the epitome of style meeting function seamlessly to create something timeless. The overall aesthetic is warm, modern, and inviting, encouraging conversation and meaningful connection.

Kitchen & Pantry

The clients love to cook and most of their family’s time is spent in and around the kitchen. Typical of 80's homes, the interior of this residence was heavily partitioned with the kitchen segregated to the back corner of the house. We believe the kitchen should be the center of attention and the heart of the home, so we made it just that. While still defining each area, we opened the kitchen and designed a 15’ island to span from the dining to the living room. The island lowers to table height, where the clients can enjoy a casual meal together or watch their children do schoolwork.

Off of the kitchen and sharing an entry with the garage, we designated a multi-use space for a butler’s pantry, mudroom, and powder bathroom. These areas are pivotal in the home’s design and greatly impact this family’s day-to-day function.

Primary Bath

Coming upstairs, the client envisioned a grand primary bathroom with a double vanity, a large shower enclosure, and a private toilet room. The shower boasts a wall-to-wall bench and niche, providing ample storage. Conveniently situated between the walk-in closet and the bedroom, this room lacked natural light so we encouraged a warm, airy feel with polished finishes, a light oak vanity, and brass accents.

We navigated the balance between feminine and masculine to match the home’s Colonial architecture. To keep a timeless aesthetic throughout the home, we specified natural stone countertops, mixed metal finishes, and kept with traditional patterns.
