June Journal: Summer Soirée

Last summer we had the absolute honor of coordinating, designing, and hosting our first Summer Soirée with the help of our sweet friends at Be.Studio. Since the pandemic, we noticed a renewed desire to infuse meaning and value into what we choose to do with our time. We want our precious time to be spent in worthwhile endeavors and with people we enjoy. Our Summer Soirée was a gathering to connect and celebrate like-minded individuals within our local community. The goal was to create a bespoke networking experience that was design oriented, expertly curated, and locally driven.

When planning our Summer Soirée, we knew we wanted to give back and be able to support the local community. As such, we hired only local vendors and trades from furniture rental and custom floral arrangements to photography. With their expertise, we were able to create an intimate event that felt every bit like summer in the French countryside: light, airy, and fresh.

Our Summer Soirée took place at an outdoor greenspace, allowing the guests to feel immersed in nature. The layout incorporated thoughtfully designed vignettes, tablescapes, and buffets, that encouraged attendees to gather and promoted meaningful conversation and genuine connections. Eighteen women from different creative backgrounds mingled and shared in this experience, one without forced exchanges and the proverbial swapping of business cards.
