Project Reveal: Grogans Bluff
Welcome to Grogans Bluff, our newly completed interior remodel! By embracing the client’s wants, needs, and personality, this elevated home is the epitome of classic elegance. With a French twist, we designed the home to have modern functionality and maximum storage most discreetly. The design is feminine and elegant, sure to age gracefully.
Kitchen
The kitchen in this home was the utmost priority. From a dysfunctional layout with no focal point and the sink facing a wall, we reconfigured the kitchen within the same square footage to house a beautiful island with a custom designed apron and cabriole legs. We created a focal point with a showstopping brass hood and French range, equipped to fit the client’s needs. Since our client is an avid baker, we made sure to include a baker’s hutch with counter space and storage for appliances.
With the use of natural materials including brass light fixtures and quartzite countertops, antique cabinet hardware handpicked by the client, and creamy white cabinets, this kitchen will only become more beautiful over time.
Pantry & Mudroom
Originally in an inconvenient location, the client’s existing pantry lacked proper organization and was not inspiring. Now just off the kitchen through a hidden door, this concealed pantry packs a punch of personality and storage. Wanting to have some fun in this space, we color-drenched the cabinetry in a beautiful, rich red tone. The pantry also houses a second oven, warming drawer, ice maker, and bar sink with a filtered water tap. We carried the quartzite countertop into the pantry to marry the two spaces and ensure cohesion.
Off to the other end of the kitchen, now separating the kitchen from the garage, is the mudroom and laundry room. Housing another sink, full-height storage for cleaning appliances, a washer and dryer, and additional storage, this room is pivotal in the home’s design and greatly impacts day-to-day function. No details in this remodel were overlooked, and beneath the laundry sink lies a Roomba garage for easy storage.
